A HARVEST OF CHANGE & TRANSFORMATION
Pastor Marcus England planted THE MIX to help people connect with God and live full lives. With a launch Team, Pastor Marcus renovated the building purchased and pastored by his grandparents in the 1960’s, rebranded the ministry, and launched on Sunday, September 27, 2015.
From the beginning, THE MIX has focused on reaching those who do not know God personally and building healthy relationships with other Christ-followers. The life-giving message of the Gospel, the passion and joy of Sunday services, and the simple style of THE MIX draws many in Baltimore and surrounding areas to call THE MIX “home”.
Over these 9 years, our church has reaped a harvest of diverse people, cultures, generations and life experiences — people far from perfect, but who have a heart for others — coming together to change lives and the world. THE MIX is moving people from their past to passion and purpose–a full life in Jesus Christ — transforming lives, together!
OUR SENIOR PASTOR
Pastor Marcus is a Maryland native, born and raised in East Baltimore. He loves this City and its mix of people and culture. He has served the body of Christ in the local church in many capacities from childhood until this day – pastoring for 9 years – and has gained immense wisdom. His amazing wife is Tamichia (Meshe is what we call her) and he is a dad to three young ladies: Tyshea, Maya and Kirsten.
Pastor Marcus and Tamichia are perfect examples of God using ordinary people to do extraordinary things! Their heart is to see lives changed. They believe that we are destined to change the world one person at a time.

What are your services like?
Our friendly, encouraging, and hope-filled services are typically 1.5 hours long. Worship is lively and Spirit-filled. If you use light sensitivity glasses for concert venue events, bring them with you.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
You'll be greeted with a warm welcome from our team. During your visit, you'll hear instructions for First Time Guests that you should follow. When you do, you'll receive a gift and more information about your next steps at THE MIX.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code to come and worship with us at THE MIX. Come in what's comfortable for you!
What's the vibe like?
Lots of smiling. Lots of hugging (although hugs are optional). Lots of excitement - cause we're excited about what Christ is doing in our lives. Warm, personable conversations. We treat you like you're at home with us. We treat you like you're already a part of our family.
What do you offer for middle and high schoolers?
We welcome middle and high schoolers to join us in the main service on Sundays! Interested teens are trained to serve in MIX Kids. We also have a MIX Group for teens. Click here for more information about MIX Groups.
